While We Wait for our Bridegroom

It is a beautiful thing that we can come boldly to the throne of God with our prayers and that we can have absolute trust that He hears us. This would be impossible if it weren’t for the blood of Christ being shed for our sins! None of us are good enough on our own to stand clean before the throne of God. But we can praise God for the fact that Jesus Christ made Himself the ultimate sacrifice for each and every one of us. He became the sacrificial lamb for you and for me. Our guilt and shame have been sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb and therefore we can stand clean before Him when we pray.

It is so important we remember that when we come before God in prayer. We can ask His forgiveness and know because of Christ’s shed blood we will be forgiven. Too often the accuser of the brethren, (Satan) tries to distract us with guilt and shame when we begin to pray. We must ignore his voice and believe fully in the power of the shed blood of Christ and it’s ability to make us and continue to make us the righteousness of God!

If we listen to the voice of the accuser we are much more likely to give up praying and grow weak in our faith. This is one of his tactics and we must be wise and fully rely on the Word of God to counter his schemes. Our prayer life is our life line not only for us but for those God has called us to intercede for!

As we navigate ourselves through the coming days it is critical to keep our prayer lives alive and well! Family members, leaders, friends, the unsaved and fellow believers are all in need of our prayers. We have been told to hold fast to the promises of God and support and motivate one another as we see time drawing closer to the return of Christ for His church. We can only do this if we are walking closely with the Lord Himself and this is impossible if we don’t keep in close touch with Him.

If there was ever a time to stay in close communion with Christ it is now! Don’t let anything keep you from that intimacy. He truly is coming back for His bride sooner than we think! Let us all be ready when that trump sounds! Start each day communing with the lover of your soul!

And so, dear brothers and sisters we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.  By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.  And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house,  let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.  Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.  And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:19-25)

Must See Movie

Last week we finally received our much anticipated copy of the movie, “Before the Wrath.” I had been told it was a wonderful movie, well made and detailed but I was still in for a giant surprise. The movie is fantastic! It is narrated by Kevin Sorbo and produced, beautifully written and directed by Brent Miller Jr.

At a time when the world is becoming increasingly dark and evil, this movie is so appreciated. It is all about “the blessed hope” that us believers are looking forward to! The depiction of the Galilean Wedding lived out will bring tears to your eyes.

If you haven’t seen it yet, please do. It will bless your life and increase your faith. God has so beautifully orchestrated every detail in His Word about us being the Bride of Christ and Him being our beloved Groom. This movie will make you long for the appearance of our Groom!

Come Lord Jesus!

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:13,14)

Discernment- The gift that keeps on giving!

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find accurate, honest news today. The various stations have their own political agendas to promote and sadly news has become their tool to do so. That’s why it is so important to ask God for discernment in the times we are living. We need His supernatural discernment and wisdom to know what is true and what isn’t!

Oxford’s online dictionary describes it as follows:

dis·cern·ment

Noun

  1. 1.the ability to judge well.
  2. 2.(in Christian contexts) perception in the absence of judgment with a view to obtaining spiritual guidance and understanding.”without providing for a time of healing and discernment, there will be no hope of living through this present moment without a shattering of our common life.

We are being fed consistent propaganda through the media causing many to fear sickness, fear man and yet the One we are to truly fear is the Creator of the Universe, God. You won’t find that on the news or tv programming.

Therefore it is so important that you pray for discernment. We need to hear and act on the wisdom of God during these perilous times. God is faithful and will never leave us as orphans. He will speak to us through the Holy Spirit and lead us in the way He wants us to go.

If you love me, obey my commandments.  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,  who will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you. (John 14:15-18)

So as you start your day in prayer, ask God for discernment for the day. Every day counts as we draw closer and closer to the appearance of Jesus Christ to take us up to be with Him! Discernment will help you to make decisions that will please Him as you walk through your day!

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,  that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,  being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)

God bless!
